Our Synthetic Turf Installation Process for Commercial & Public Playgrounds
Community playground surfaces require installers who understand and can meet “critical fall height” ASTM standards.
Critical height is defined as “…the maximum fall height from which a life-threatening head injury would not be expected to occur.” Fall height is “…the vertical distance between a designated play surface and the playground surface beneath it.”
CG Play Turf offers a variety of fall height standards and safety options for its clients’ design needs. We can cater our installation to meet architects and builders desired safety specifications through the use of industry tested padding and fall testing. as required to meet ASTM critical fall heights. Designs in contours and mound heights can be safely achieved through various pad options that we provide.
Our carefully selected, unique fiber blends for playground use offer durability, increased safety, and longevity. Our unique playground system begins with a structural sub-base granite and compacting to industry standards. We add the required cushioning pad or high-density polyethylene foam safety padding as the cushion under the turf surface. Then we install our highly durable synthetic system over the entire play area, carefully matching and securing seams for added safety and usability.
We provide all the necessary testing and certifications for these highly busy playgrounds. Our solution is IPEMA certified, and we have ASTM F1292 fall height data available.
